Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Enugu, Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Enugu Rangers FC. It was named after the first president of Nigeria and the stadium has a capacity of 25,000 people.
The stadium is one of the stadiums that hosted Nigeria '99 FIFA World Youth Championship that produced the likes of Ronadinho, Fernando Torres etc.
The stadium has been tested and turned out to be a remarkable venue. It is currently undergoing some maintenance works and it will be ready for the tournament in 2009.

The stadium is currently undergoing some maintenance works and it is at the final stage of completion as it is expected to be ready for the tournament with other stadiums.
Upon completion, the stadium would meet the requirements of the International safety standards; It will be equipped with emergency service units, closed circuit security cameras as well as crowd control steel fencing.
There will also be stand-by fire fighting equipment and metal detectors that would be put in place to avoid any misfortunes.
